How do I reach you?

What are your products
made of?

Our products are made of deadstock fabrics found on our annually fabric hunt in India. We use deadstock fabrics because we want to minimize textile waste and its footprint on our Earth. We only choose high-quality natural and semi-natural deadstock fabrics as cotton, linen, rayon, silk and modal to ensure longevity of our products.

Where are your products
made?

Our products are handmade in two factories in Delhi, India co-owned by women. We visit them at least once a year to nurture our close relationships, ensure ethical working conditions and talking about more sustainable opportunities for the future.



What makes you
a sustainable brand?

We are sustainable in two ways:
1. Our collection is made of upcycled deadstock fabrics except the slip dresses which are made of organic cotton. By using and upcycling deadstock fabrics - discarded fabrics from other fashion houses - we minimize the amount of textile ending up being burned in the landfills.

2. We consciously choose to work with deadstock fabrics as we don’t want to produce any new textiles. The reason is that the several steps in making new textile is the most environmental harming process in garment manufacturing. We want to make garments in harmony with our Earth.

SIZE & SHOPPING



How do I find my size?

Because we use deadstock fabrics for our products, they can vary in sizing from one fabric to another. Therefore we measure our dresses by hand and share their unique measurements with you in the size guide on each product page.

You can check the size guide on the product you’re interested in, and if you’re still not sure don’t hesitate to contact us. Please leave a message in the “Help” chatbot on your bottom-left side on every page or email us at customercare@ampali.dk.

Please note the dress you’re interested in along with your bust, waist and hip measurements and we’ll guide you to the right size.



What if the dress I want
is not in stock?

All of our products are handmade from limited deadstock fabrics and therefore our pieces are made in what’s left of the deadstock - which often results in uniquely small quantities.

If the dress you want is not available, we recommend signing up for our emails on the bottom of each page, where you’ll be the first one to know when items are restocked!

How often do you release
new products?

As a conscious sustainable brand we have a slow fashion mindset. That means that you can expect us to be releasing 1-2 capsule collections (ex. a Spring/Summer collection and a Fall/Winter collection) yearly rather than releasing new collections every second week.



Do you take pre-orders?

Yes we do take pre-orders. Products that are on the way home to our store can be pre-ordered. The shipment time frame will be noted on the product page.
If you purchase a preorder item with another item, we will hold the ready garment until your pre-order is ready unless you request otherwise.




ORDERS & SHIPPING



Can I change a placed order?

Unfortunately we cannot make changes to already placed orders. If you will like to cancel your order, you can email us at customercare@ampali.dk and we will try to cancel before your order ships. However this is not can guarantee that we can cancel orders. In case you want to change your order you have to make a return and use our pre-paid return label along with the package and place a new order.



How long does it take my order
to ship?

We’re packing and shipping orders Monday through Friday. Order will typically be shipped within 72 hours. The shipment time frame for pre-orders will be noted on the product page.
If you purchase a preorder item with another item, we will hold the ready garment until your pre-order is ready unless you request otherwise.

In light of current events, all orders may experience shipping delays. We appreciate your patience during this time.



How much does shipping cost?

Standard domestic shipping to a pick-up point is free on all orders. Home delivery shipping is free on all orders above DKK 1000.

The standard shipping cost within EU is DKK 80.

We ship nationally and internationally using GLS.




RETURNS



How do I return an order?

In light of current times we have a temporarily return policy: If you want to return an order, please email customercare@ampali.dk within 14 days of receipt of your package with your intention to return your order. We know returns can be delayed which is why we accept returns for exchanges within 30 days after receipt of package. You return your order by using the pre-paid return label along with the package and attach on the top of the reusable package and deliver it to a GLS pick-up point.

Are returns free?

We offer free, prepaid return labels on all domestic orders. You will find the return label in the box you received your product(s) in. The only thing you need to do is to attach it on top of the box and deliver it to a GLS pick-up point. In case you you didn’t received a return label please contact us on customercare@ampali.dk.

We do offer 100% of refund on all orders.



How long will my return
take to process?

Please allow for up to one week from the date a return is delivered to us for it to be processed. Refunds will post within 3-10 days (depending on your bank).



What if I need to exchange
for a different size or color?

At this time, we don’t offer direct exchanges. But as we know that will be more convenient for you, we’re working on it to offer in near future.

If you want to exchange, please make a return and place a new order.




GARMENT CARE



What are the care instructions
for the garments?

As all of our products are made from deadstock fabric (discarded by other brands) we don't know the exact care instructions which is why we recommend cold hand wash on all of our products. We also recommended hand wash for environmental reasons and because we believe that garments will last longer with care by hands.
Some of our products are made of very lightweight fabrics as silk and cotton voile which require more delicate garment care. If you choose to use machine wash, please make it as cold and delicate as possible.
You'll find the care instructions label on the inside of each garment.




EVERYTHING ELSE



Do you have a physical store?

Unfortunately we don’t have a physical store yet. However you can find us at our physical pop-up shops different places in Denmark through the year. Stay connected with us on our Instagram @shopampali.



Can I find your clothes in other store?

With the limited nature of our production of upcycled deadstock fabrics, selling wholesale isn’t an option at this time.



Who do I contact for PR inquiries?

Are you hiring?

Open positions for hiring will be posted on our Instagram or Linkedin. We’re a very small team at the moment, but as we grow we’ll hire along the way!





GARMENT SIZE GUIDE



We include the shoulder, bodice, bust, waist, hip and body length measurements in all sizes - for each product. You can find the individual size guide on the product page. The measurements reflect the half length - so you will only have to measure your front and not your back. The bust measurement is measured from one centimeter below the armpit and the hip is measured at the fullest part of the hip. The waist is measured at the cutline below your chest.
Each product will generally have fit info included in bullet points for each size below the product description.

My order arrived
incomplete

Please double-check your emailed order confirmation to confirm that all items you ordered were in stock. Items on pre-order will typically have a different shipment date noted on the product page.
If your items were in stock at purchase, please double-check your email to confirm that no one from AMPALI has contacted you via email to let you know that an item from your order was unable to be fulfilled. If you have confirmed that all of the items in your order were currently in stock when you placed the order, but an item is missing, please reach out to us at customercare@ampali.dk with your order number, a photo of the packing slip from your package, and the name of the missing item, and we will investigate this for you.



There's an issue with my order

We're so sorry about this! Please contact us at customercare@ampali.dk with your order number and a description of the issue, along with a photo of the packing slip from your package, and we will take care of this as soon as we can.




Domestic Shipping

We try our best to ship all packages within 48 hours of receipt of the order from our warehouse location (excluding weekends and holidays). Your order will be shipped ending item availability and order volume. We ship via GLS and all rates are calculated at checkout, so please enter your shipping address to determine shipping cost.
All domestic orders shipped to a GLS pickup point are free.
Please make sure that your order is shipping to a secure location, as once package has been delivered to the correct location we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen packages.

International Shipping

We try our best to ship all packages within 48 hours of receipt of the order from our warehouse location (excluding weekends and holidays). We ship via GLS and all rates are calculated at checkout, so please enter your shipping address to determine shipping cost and duties. Please make sure that your order is shipping to a secure location, as once package has been delivered to the correct location we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen packages. For any special / urgent requests please contact us at customercare@ampali.dk. If you are not able to complete an order to your destination country, please contact customercare@ampali.dk so we can help with your order.



Domestic Shipping
Return

AMPALI offers free returns for items in new condition with tags attached within 30 days of your receipt of shipment. We do not offer exchanges. If you would like to exchange an item, please return the original item for a full refund (less original shipping cost) and place a new order.
To complete a return, please follow the steps below:

  • Please fill our "return reason" on the packing slip included with original shipment. Please make sure to include a copy of your original packing slip in the return shipment so that we may identify your order.
  • Please use the pre-paid return labels to attach above the shipment label.
  • When your items is shipped to you, it will include a pre-paid printed GLS return shipping label. Please attach this label to the original shipping packaging and seal the package.
  • Please drop the package at the nearest GLS pick-up point. Go to for locations.
  • Within 7-10 days of our receipt of your return you will receive an email that your return was processed. Your refund will be credited to the same card used to make the original purchase. Refunds are for products only and do not include initial shipping cost. Please allow up to 10 business days for the bank to post the refund to your account.
  • If you would like to process a return but don't have the original pre-printed return label, please include your order number in the shipment and contact customer for return address at customercare@ampali.dk anytime.


International Shipping
Return

We offer return for unworn items in new condition with original tags attached. We must receive your return within 30 days from the date you originally received your order. We cannot be responsible for return shipments that are lost in transit, so please make sure that you obtain tracking info for return and insure you package appropriately.
Customer pays for and arranges all international return shipping. AMAPALI is unable to refund any duties and taxes paid. You can pursue refund of duties with your local tax agencies.



Zero Waste Guarantee
Return

To ensure zero waste of our products, we offer a free return solution for used AMPALI items. Return your items that you don't use anymore and receive a 20% discount on your next purchase on ampali.dk. In that way we help reuse and repurpose your preloved garments.
To complete a "Zero waste guarantee" return, please follow the steps below:

  • Please include a small note with your order number for the original shipment in the return shipment (find your order number either on your AMPALI profile account or in your order confirmation).

PRIVACY POLICY



What do we do with your information?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address and phone number. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.



How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.



How do I withdraw my consent?

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us at customercare@ampali.dk.

Shopify

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.



Payment

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
